The wide sky is a world of its own. A world with its own laws, dangers and freedoms and the cockpit of a fighter plane lets you immerse yourself in this world like no other object on earth. Distances and heights take on completely different dimensions than we are used to on Earth: 1,000km distance? If necessary, in less than 30 minutes. 13km altitude? Just a good minute...
For me, there is no other place in this world where I can feel so free. This blue endlessness makes you think. So much of what concerns us on the ground is perhaps just a question of perspective... And some of the things that we get so upset about in everyday life are perhaps just as they appear from up here: tiny and insignificant.
